HomeKit Deal: Secure All The Things with Koogeek’s Fingerprint Padlock for $46 – EXPIRED

Update: This deal has expired and is no longer available. Today, Amazon is featuring a sale on the recently released Koogeek Fingerprint Padlock. Koogeek’s lock is just one of the two HomeKit enabled padlocks on the market, and undercuts its competition by $25 with today’s latest promotion which can be had by clipping a 5% off coupon on the Amazon listing page and by using the promo code DWTG4HFG. This brings the total cost of the lock down to just $45.99 and can be shipped with Amazon’s Prime Service.

Koogeek’s padlock features fingerprint authentication for those times where your phone is not around. Up to 50 unique fingerprints can be stored, and the unit unlocks by simply placing your finger on the dedicated pad on the face of the lock. Since the lock is HomeKit enabled, the lock will work with Siri voice commands and shortcuts. Inside of Koogeek’s App, you can find a running log of the last 100 events, which is handy for keeping tabs on things throughout the day. Push notifications can be sent via the Home App to alert you of any status changes. The Koogeek padlock sports a stainless steel 1/4″ diameter shackle and a zinc alloy body. The lock is not listed with weather resistance, so you will need to keep the lock indoors, and it is backed by a 1 year warranty. A rechargeable 280 mAh battery is housed inside, which Koogeek claims is capable of lasting up to a full year without needing a recharge, and a micro-USB cable is included for charging.

We will have more on the Koogeek Fingerprint Padlock soon, as we are currently testing and comparing it to the HiTechouse Padlock which we recently reviewed.
