Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but having 3 home hubs (main one online as HomePod) most my automations were created while this was online (apart from a few where my ipad was main home hub. One day the homepod crashed to the point I had to factory default it and re add to HomeKit. Then noticing that id lost all my automations created while HomePod was main home hub. are automations saved to local hub at the time of creation?!
